Current Opportunities

AMRG (Advanced Materials Research Group) at National Taiwan University welcomes motivated undergraduate researchers, graduate students, and research staff. Our current focus is battery recycle, redox flow batteries, and intelligent microgrid control—work that connects materials, devices, and energy systems for Taiwan’s storage and circular-economy needs.

Who we are looking for
• Undergraduate special-topic / project students (專題生)
• M.S. and Ph.D. students
• Full-time research assistants (when positions are open)
• Postdoctoral researchers (when positions are open)

Priority research directions
1. Battery recycle  safer, lower-impact recovery of valuable materials from spent Li-ion and NiMH cells; routes toward reuse in energy-storage materials.
2. Redox flow batteries — electrode and electrolyte design (including soluble-lead / related flow systems) for longer cycle life and scalable storage.
3. Intelligent microgrid control — integrating storage and distributed renewables for safer, smarter energy dispatch.
Supporting themes in the lab also include flash sintering for energy materials and data-driven battery state-of-health (SoH) methods.
